ISLAMABAD: Process of repatriation of Afghan refugees from Pakistan will be suspended from November 30 to February next year.
According to United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR), the Afghan refugees possessing the proof of registration (POR) cards would be allowed to stay in Pakistan during this period and all facilities would be provided by them, a private news channel reported.
According to details those refugees who have registered them for return in November will not be affected from this schedule and they may proceed according to their plans. However, the new registrations will be suspended from 7th November.
People returning to Afghanistan according to their own arrangements during this period will not get financial aid of Rs 400 dollars from the UNHCR and 50 dollars from the Afghan government.
