RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has confirmed death sentences of 11 terrorists who were involved in committing heinous crimes and activities related to terrorism, an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said.
According to sources, the convicts were involved in killing of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Fayyaz Sumbal and Assistant Sub-inspector (ASI) Raza Khan of Balochistan Police and Inspector Kamran Nazir of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) at Quetta, ISPR statement said.
The militants that have been convicted were involved in sectarian killings, kidnapping and killing of civilians and personnel of the Frontier Constabulary (FC) and also in the killing of Major Majeed of Pakistan Army.
