CHAK DARRA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif must answer about his assets as corruption seeps through the ranks of the current government.
Addressing a public meeting in Chak Darra, Imran Khan said that the government was wasting the money on mega projects while the same money should have been spent on the welfare of the people and education. He alleged that the kickbacks received in mega projects could be put into dubious investments like Panama Leaks.
Imran said that there was no case of mega corruption in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). He added that there was corruption in the province at the lower level but it would be curbed soon. He also announced 30% of the recovered amount for anyone who’d highlight the corruption in any of the departments.
PTI Chairman admitted that it took the KP government a long time to improve the situation of the hospitals. However, he said that the education system had improved a lot in the province and 34,000 students had left the private schools to join government schools. He also announced to establish new schools, colleges and universities for female students.
